Passionate about Children's Workers

Children are the church of both today and tomorrow. We believe God is stirring a renewing and children are part of His plan. So we are passionate to raise-up our children’s workers across the country.

So we will be launching a special new track at the Elim Leaders Summit 2018 especially for children’s workers. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect, equip, encourage and inspire those with a heart to see God move amongst our children.

Boys

Our children’s ministry leaders play a crucial role in facilitating the spiritual development of our children, reaching into communities and encouraging each child to discover their God-given potential. So we are really excited about this opportunity to encourage and equip children’s workers for the vital issue of reaching and ministering to children in this generation.

Take a look at the speakers and get a taste of what is in store when you send your children's workers to this years summit. Don't forget that each Elim church can get two free children's worker places at ELS18.*

Overview of the Children's Worker Track

Each of the five sessions will be fun, interactive and engaging - including an exciting mix of practical tools, fresh perspectives, and inspirational teaching.

The Discipleship Journey – Olly Goldenberg

God has called us to make disciples. If our ministry is the only spiritual input for a child, how can we help them journey from unsaved to fully established disciples. Be inspired by stories of children being discipled and discipling their friends. Reflect on the process of discipleship and how the structure of our ministries serves this.

Helping Children Encounter God – Olly Goldenberg

God does not expect us to follow him without encountering him and every generation needs a fresh outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit. Find out how we can help our children to go beyond singing songs and saying prayers to have life-changing encounters with God through prayer and worship.

Inclusion in our Children’s Ministry – Emma Bacon

A session looking at supporting children from different cultural backgrounds and those with additional needs in church. We will look at the importance of including all children and focus on what it would look like to build a SEN program into a children’s ministry.

KidMin 101 – Nick Whittome

This session provides you with all the basics you need to be able to run children’s work in your church effectively and safely, including an outline of all the safeguarding essentials from Simon Bass, the Director of Church Safeguarding Consultancy. A free sample of kids work plans, processes, procedures and paperwork will be also be provided to all delegates as a part of the session.

Growing and Envisioning team… – Dani Johnston

In this session, Dani will be taking a closer look at some of the key elements of how to grow and envision a team. Explore how to go from having leaders who help in kid’s ministry out of duty to growing people into passionate leaders who go above and beyond the one hour on a Sunday Morning. Fruitful leaders grow fruitful kids…
