Our Commitment to Safeguarding

  elim.org.uk/safeguarding

Elim is committed to creating healthy churches and safe spaces for everyone in our community.

We understand that children and adults can face risks of harm or abuse, which is why we work deliberately to build a culture that minimises opportunities for abuse and promotes wellbeing.

Protecting Children

Children depend on adults to keep them safe. Every Elim church working with children—whether directly or indirectly—is committed to safeguarding the young people in our care. We do this by providing safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can flourish and reach their full potential.

Supporting Vulnerable Adults

We recognise that some adults in our churches need additional protection, care, and support due to vulnerability, whether temporary or ongoing. We are also mindful that relationships of trust exist throughout our communities, and these thrive best in healthy environments characterised by openness, transparency, and accountability.

Everyone's Responsibility

We believe firmly that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. All who are involved in the life of our churches and activities have a vital role to play in keeping children, young people, and adults safe.
