New Year commences with a season of prayer

At the start of 2016, Elim churches across the nations are joining the LIFT UP month of prayer focusing on the subject of New Horizons.

We stand at the point of the conclusion of the old year, and the beginning of the new. Firstly, we look back on 2015 and thank God for His blessings both in the midst of the good and challenging times. We now have before us ‘NEW HORIZONS’ as we face the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Our prayer theme this month is based upon ISAIAH 43: 18-19. These are words spoken by God through the Prophet to His people who were in captivity on account of their sin and disobedience. God is promising that He would not desert His people, and that a season of spiritual and national renewal would begin. They were to return to their home land, and there they would rebuild the waste places, and the broken down walls, and they would once again experience His blessing and provision.

As we commence this New Year, let us pray that in our personal lives, in the life of our Local Church, our Elim Movement, and indeed our nation, a season of spiritual renewal and restoration may be evidenced resulting in Kingdom growth.
