Equip your children's workers at the Elim Leaders Summit

Following the success of our first ever Young Leaders track the Elim Leader’s Summit 2017, Elim is holding our first ever track for Children’s Ministry Workers at ELS18.

We are really excited about the opportunity to encourage and equip children’s workers for the vital issue of reaching and ministering to children in this generation.

Take a look at this video with Chris Cartwright (General Superintendent) and Tim Alford (Director of Youth Ministry) who share about what's in store at ELS18 for your church's team who are involved in children's ministry.

We have assembled a great creative and inspiring team of dedicated children’s ministry leaders that includes Emma Bacon (children’s worker at Coventry Elim), Olly Goldenberg (director of Children Can), Dani Johnston (kids pastor in LGCC) and Nick Whittome (Associate Pastor at Birmingham City Church ).

Over five sessions, the team will equip children's workers on a variety of subjects including:

  • KidMin 101 - providing you with all the basics you need to be able to run children’s work in your church effectively and safely. Free sample kids work plans, processes, procedures and paperwork will be also be provided to all delegates as a part of the session.
  • The Discipleship Journey - God has called us to make disciples. If our ministry is the only spiritual input for a child, how can we help them journey from unsaved to fully established disciples? Be inspired by stories of children being discipled and discipling their friends. Reflect on the process of discipleship and how the structure of our ministries serves this.
  • Helping Children Encounter God - God does not expect us to follow him without encountering him and every generation needs a fresh outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit. Find out how we can help our children to go beyond singing songs and saying prayers to have life-changing encounters with God through prayer and worship.
  • Growing and Envisioning Team - exploring how to go from having leaders who help in kids ministry out of duty to growing people into passionate leaders who go above and beyond the one hour on a Sunday morning.
  • Inclusion in our Children’s Ministry - looking at supporting children from different cultural backgrounds and those with additional needs in the church. We will look at the importance of including all children and focus on what it would look like to build a SEN program into a children’s ministry.
