Mapping your prayers

How can we pray for every street in the UK and reach every home? One street, one home, one prayer at a time… could it be yours?

The Oikos Outreach App is a great free app to help us pray and share our faith. ‘OIKOS’ is the Greek word for ‘every home’ and the aim of the app is to encourage us in our daily and weekly habits to be praying for our streets and sharing Jesus with our community.

Users are encouraged to ‘tap to tag’ their street once they’ve prayed for it, which will then mark it as ‘prayed for’ with a pin. You can also add ‘share’ pins to capture moments where you’ve shared the love and hope of Jesus with your neighbours – whether with words or actions.

You can use it as you physically move through your community or virtually. This app allows us to get a picture of the many thousands of Jesus followers praying for their streets.

Don't forget to share

Wellbeing - A prayer from Sarah Hingley
When your thoughts are loud, your body is tired, and your heart feels anxious — how do you pray? Sarah's prayer is an honest cry for rest, stillness, and God's nearness. It's a prayer of asking, of laying everything down and being present before God.
Leading Well - A prayer from Stephen Gibson
Stephen calls us to lead with love, wisdom, and courage—beginning with how we lead ourselves. From family and church to community and beyond, this heartfelt prayer invites you to reflect on your influence and surrender every area of leadership to God.
Colleagues and Workspaces - A prayer from Ben Mtengule
Join Ben as he asks God for kindness, patience, wisdom, and grace to fill our relationships and conversations at work. Whether your workplace is a buzzing office, a quiet study, or a remote desk, this prayer invites God into the centre of it.
A prayer for Pentecost - Pete Millward
In this reflective Pentecost prayer, Pete invites us to remember the upper room — a place of expectancy, prayer, and promise. As the Holy Spirit was poured out then, so we ask again: Come, Holy Spirit.
A prayer of Grace - Ian Anderson
Ian's short prayer is a reflection on the wonder of God’s grace—a love that reaches into our weakness, covers our sin, and lifts us higher than our shame.
Generations - A prayer from Sian Kempton
A heartfelt prayer for the rising generation—thanking God for the past, calling us to faithfulness in the present, and asking Him to awaken hearts for what’s to come.
