Michelle Nunn at ELS2025

A century of faithfulness and a future full of promise

Michelle Nunn reflects on Regents Theological College at ELS2025

There are moments when you don’t just hear history—you feel it. The celebration of 100 years of Regents Theological College at ELS2025 was one of those moments.

What began in 1925 as a small Bible college in a former Catholic convent has grown into a thriving centre for theological training, ministry formation, and spiritual transformation. And yet, as Michelle Nunn, current principal of Regents, reminded us, its heartbeat remains the same: to train and release people who are hungry for the Word of God and empowered by the Spirit.

With warmth, humility and deep gratitude, Michelle reflected on a year that’s seen a near tripling in student numbers—young people willing to lay down other pursuits to follow the call of God. “It’s like the early days again,” she said, speaking of how students are being sent out before they’ve even finished their studies, such is the urgency of the call and the need for workers.

But this moment wasn’t just about looking back. The college is stepping boldly into a new season with new trustees, a new charity structure, and a fresh vision to serve the Church even more effectively. Scholarships are now available not only for Ministers-in-Training and their spouses, but also for lay leaders—an invitation to deepen faith and sharpen calling.

It was a time of testimony, not just from the stage, but from hearts across the room. Former students shared stories of finding belonging, of growing in confidence, of being stretched and shaped to live out their faith in powerful ways. The call to “be a thinking Pentecostal” was celebrated as a sign of how deeply Regents has shaped the Elim movement—and continues to do so.

Regents is more than an academic institution. It’s a family of faith, rooted in prayer, powered by vision, and grounded in the faithfulness of God.

Whether you’re an alumni, a church leader, or someone exploring your next step, this centenary celebration was a reminder that Regents is not just about history - it’s about legacy. And more than that, it’s about the future.
