Holy Spirit Course designed to inspire and educate
Elim has launched an important new digital discipleship resource – and it’s completely free
The Holy Spirit Course, released online on 2 March at holyspiritcourse.com, is a high-quality, seven-part video series designed to educate, inspire and deepen understanding of the Holy Spirit. Created for churches, small groups and individuals, it is available worldwide for streaming or download at no cost.
Exploring themes such as being filled with the Spirit, living a supernatural lifestyle, and understanding the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit, the course offers a clear and accessible pathway into Spirit-empowered living. It unpacks who the Holy Spirit is – not just what he does – and helps participants experience the baptism in the Holy Spirit, discover spiritual gifts, grow in the fruit of the Spirit and live a Spirit-empowered life every day.
The course was written by author and long-serving Elim minister Eric Gaudion – well known to Direction readers for his excellent ‘And Finally’ column – and is presented by Duncan Clark and Shirene Agbelusi, who co-lead Coventry Elim. Across seven professionally filmed sessions, viewers receive biblical teaching, personal insight and practical application, with each episode supported by a printable discussion guide. A companion book is also available for those wanting to go deeper.
Mark Pugh, Elim’s General Superintendent, believes the timing is significant.
“The Holy Spirit Course is a timely and accessible invitation for the church to be empowered again by the Spirit,” he said. “We believe it will ignite fresh passion and clarity about the Spirit’s role in our everyday lives.”
He added: “Many Christians today feel spiritually dry or uncertain about the Holy Spirit. They have heard about him, but never truly experienced his presence and power. Some have come to faith recently and may not have even heard about the baptism in the Holy Spirit, his gifts and fruit. Others may want to go deeper, but do not know how.”
Designed with flexibility in mind, the course can be used church-wide, in home groups or for personal study. There are no licensing fees or hidden costs – churches may stream or download all seven sessions along with the leader guides and discussion materials free of charge. The only restriction is that the content may not be re-uploaded, republished elsewhere or sold.
With Easter and Pentecost Sunday approaching, the resource provides an ideal opportunity for congregations to focus afresh on the work of the Spirit. Because everything is hosted online, churches can run the course whenever and as often as suits their calendar.
Alongside the video series, Eric Gaudion has written a companion volume, Power for Living, priced at £9.99 via the course website. He describes it as more than a theological text.
