Elim Evangelism Teams: Serving churches, reaching communities
Serve with a team, grow in evangelism, and support a local church in its community.
What is an Elim Evangelism Team?
The Elim Evangelism Team is designed to create a space for those across Elim and the Network with a heart for evangelism to learn, sharpen skills, encourage others and share the Gospel whilst serving and working alongside local churches across our movement throughout the UK.
Why join?
We are in a really exciting time within the Elim movement and of course within the nation and I would love to encourage you to think about joining an Elim Evangelism Team (EET). I really believe that the Lord is at work and the harvest is ready. There is a real opportunity for those with an evangelist heart to step in and step out.
The EET is made up of people from varying experiences and backgrounds who all share a heart for sharing Jesus with others. Our EET's work alongside local churches with an intentional Evangelistic mission, usually Wednesday - Sunday on planned dates during May to September.
We aim to have 3 EET missions a year. As a member of the EET you don't have to join every team we take out, come to whichever one(s) work best for you. In 2026, these take place in April and June.
Gloucester Elim: Friday 10 April - Saturday 11 April
Christchurch Elim: Wednesday 3 June - Sunday 7 June
Inside Out Church Barnsley: Wednesday 24 June - Sunday 28 June
Training and equipping
A key aspect of the EET is training and equipping in preparation for releasing. It is our heart that as individuals and a collective team that we feel confident and equipped before stepping out to serve alongside a local church. In the preparation for going out as a team, we hold four Connect and Equip sessions throughout the year. These are a great space for equipping, but also a place of encouragement and building relationships.
What does it actually look like to be part of a team?
Our heart is to compliment what the local church is already doing whilst bringing in the skills that the Evangelist carries to see the Kingdom and local church added to.
We believe that it is really important that there are gospel proclamation and healing meetings that happen as part of any evangelistic mission and these are a key part of any Elim Evangelism Team.
Once a local church says yes to an Elim Evangelism Team and a date is set our EET lead would work closely with the Senior Minister and any team they put together to develop a strategy around the evangelistic outreach and mission; thinking about practical aspects as well as getting to know and understand the culture of the church and the local community that they are based in.
As part of an EET you will be involved in outreach, community fun days, door to door evangelism, speaking to people on the streets, leaflet delivery, praying for people, sharing your story and the gospel with others.
Our week starts on a Wednesday tea time where we gather together, have some time with the local church and pray together. Each day starts at around 8:30am with prayer and further equipping for the day ahead, our days usually finish in the evening but don't worry where there is an evening event, there is some time off in the afternoon! No two days look the same, but every day is filled with incredible stories and encounters as we see the Lord work in us and through us.
What's the cost?
The cost to you is your time.
You will be responsible for getting to the local church, but don't let this be a barrier to you joining us, we can always work around transport issues. There is no other cost to you, the local church will host us, feed us and will provide accommodation through members of their congregation.
Why a church might want a team?
The Elim Evangelism Team is designed to create a space for training, equipping and releasing those across Elim and the Elim Network with a heart for evangelism. Our EET works alongside local churches in an intentional evangelistic mission over a 4 day period, bespoke to that church and their local community, led by Sarah Weaver, across our movement throughout the UK.
Who makes up an Elim Evangelist Team?
Elim Evangelism Team is open to anyone who is attending an Elim or Elim Network church who are passionate about sharing Jesus with others and are looking to grow in evangelism.
How can we serve your church?
Do you have people in your churches who love to talk about Jesus with others, can you encourage them to think about becoming part of the Elim Evangelism Team?
Our heart is that those who come onto the EET will be an asset to their local church and ignite something among others around sharing the Gospel.
‘In my home church we are starting healing on the streets and I will be heading the evangelism efforts. I am excited about that’ GC - a EET member who joined us over the summer
