Good news story

Be Free Cambodia is a special place. Over the years there have been many good stories of how lives have been transformed. Hope, love and life have been restored in the ladies that have come through Be Free Cambodia.

One story that is very special is that of one of our current staff members. Her journey in Be Free started as one of the girls in the programme a number of years ago. She was a great student and worked hard in the programme to change her and her son’s difficult life around.

Now, years later, she is a staff member in Be Free with a restored family. She works hard and is continuing to learn new skills each day. She is a wonderful role model for the girls who are currently in the programme of how their lives can be transformed and how freedom can truly be achieved.

Updates

We have had new girls join the programme in the last few months. They are doing well and they are happy and safe in Be Free.

In Be Free we value education. All the girls in the programme continue to learn Khmer language skills and basic English skills every week.

Be Free Salon

The students in the salon are enjoying the new skills that they are learning and the time they get to spend with customers practising these new skills.

This month, Sokim completed more training in cutting different hairstyles. We love that our staff committed to continual learning and improving their knowledge and expertise.

Life skills

Some of our girls have shown an interest in learning how to cook for themselves. This has been a good learning opportunity for them as they have been able to visit local markets to purchase ingredients and then with the help of staff, they are learning to prepare and cook simple meals for themselves.
