Macedonia Update June 2025
We hope all is well with you, here is our latest news from Macedonia.
Connect Life Church
In April, a team from Connect Life Church in Caerphilly came to visit Macedonia, sharing their time between Skopje and the town of Stip. They did street evangelism with us and also supported two of our weekly Bible study groups.
Having a church team on short term mission can provide a real boost and it was certainly a blessing to have them join us. We shared the gospel with new people and also supported a ministry that is reaching the Albanian community. In our Children’s Bible Study they kept everyone captivated by a telling of the healing of the Paralysed Man and with one of our adult groups they were able to contribute and spend time praying for everyone.
We are thankful to all the members of the team who spent time and money coming over to Macedonia to serve the work of God. None of it goes to waste!
Missionary Conference
Ian attended the Elim Missionary conference in May, which was hosted very generously by Kensington Temple in London. It was good to spend time with some of the other missionaries and the Elim Missions team and to be invested in with great teaching by Mark Pugh, Marty Davison and Malcolm Duncan. It was encouraging to hear from the other missionaries and to know that others face similar challenges and joys on the mission field.
Plodding On
A key theme of the many church visits we undertook during our visit to the UK in February was of ‘plodding on’, of keeping on going in the work God has called us to do. So while there have not been many ‘big’ news items, here are a few things we are getting on with.
-
Our bible study groups are flourishing, with people growing in faith together and beginning in mission. We are hoping to facilitate more growing together in the coming months.
-
Our Children’s Class has been learning about the Fruit of the Spirit.
-
We have been taking opportunities for mission in the community, with a number of opportunities to share our faith with others. We have also seen prayer answered as we have connected with new people.
-
Katie has been continuing to work with the Capernaum ministry with visually impaired children.
-
Ian attended the Wyld Life youth club, where he gave a message on the Parable of the Sower to around 25 10-14 year olds.
Prayer:
-
Please give thanks for a productive time at the Missionary Conference and for all the generosity and love shown to us by the Missions Team and Kensington Temple.
-
Please give thanks for the work of Connect Life Church during their visit.
-
Kristen will be attending the Young Life summer camp in July. Please pray for a fruitful time as she is invested in and journeys with other young followers of Christ.
-
A student from Regents Theological College will be joining us for a few weeks in July/August. Please pray for safe travels, God’s provision and that she will see the fruitfulness in her time here.
-
Please pray for our bible study groups, that we will grow more in community together and we will be able to take advantage of the summer to develop a bigger focus on mission.
Thanks for reading
Ian, Katie, Kristen and Josiah.
