Called to go? The Elim Missions Academy is back!

Explore God’s call to mission through practical training, spiritual formation, and a pathway to global impact.

Have you ever felt a tug on your heart when someone speaks about mission?

Do you find yourself wondering if there’s more — if God might be calling you to go?

If so, the Elim Missions Academy could be your next step. Relaunching this September, the Academy is a unique opportunity for anyone sensing the call of God to mission — whether overseas, cross-cultural, or right where you are.

Led by Elim’s International Missions Director, Marty Davison, the Academy will help you explore, prepare and discern your place in God’s mission. With a blend of monthly online teaching and in-person residentials, it offers both flexibility and deep formation.

How does it work?

Monthly online learning

Each month you’ll join a Zoom call in the evening, featuring teaching from Marty and experienced missionaries. You’ll explore themes like calling, cross-cultural life, preparation, practical challenges, and more — all designed to help you grow in confidence and clarity.

Four in-person experiences

You’ll also take part in four in-person elements at Elim International Centre, Malvern:

  • Orientation Day – Saturday 27 September
  • Four-day Residential – 7–10 April
  • A visit to the Elim Missions office (date options provided)
  • Commissioning Day – Saturday 6 June

The cost is £500 per person or £750 per couple, making the Academy accessible for individuals, spouses and those exploring mission together.

What are past participants are saying?

Many who have completed the Academy have since stepped into overseas mission — including current Elim missionaries serving in places like Cambodia and Japan.

“The Academy provided me with great training and more than that, love and care from leaders who gave input and wisdom into my journey. I’m very thankful for what God has done in me during this time.”
— Sophie Moore, Elim Missionary in Cambodia

“We learnt so much that we trust will be useful for our long-term call to the mission field. The seminars were insightful, practical, and thought-provoking… knowing you're not in it alone is crucial.”
— Jordan & Nitasha Christian, Elim Missionaries in Japan

But whether or not you go on to serve internationally, the course is designed to give a deeper understanding of God's mission in the world, and your place in it.

Why mission?

Elim Missions believes that all Christians are called to partner with the Spirit in the renewal of all things. Around the world, Elim missionaries are using practical skills, planting churches, pioneering Gospel Communities, and working through trusted Global Partners. Some are sent from UK churches; others are local leaders raised up in their own nations.

In all these contexts, the Gospel is going out — and disciples are being made. The Elim Missions Academy is a key part of preparing for that work.
